Future Fusion AI Academy was founded by Dr. Chun Lei He, an AI leader with over 15 years of experience in machine learning, computer vision, and advanced analytics.
The Academy began in 2024 as a community initiative in Oakville, Ontario, with the mission to make AI education accessible to youth and adults through hands-on learning and real-world projects.
Its early programs introduced AI and coding to middle and high school students through creative projects such as AI in Games, AI in Arts, AI for Environmental Protection, and Smart Waste Classification Systems.
In 2025, the Academy expanded its impact through collaborations with schools, local organizations, and innovation programs, including the Technovation Girls (in progress) initiative, which empowers girls aged 8–18 to solve real-world problems using technology and entrepreneurship.
Future Fusion AI Academy continues to build bridges between AI education, innovation, and community development, preparing the next generation to understand, apply, and lead with artificial intelligence responsibly and creatively.

Future Fusion AI Academy was founded by Dr. Chun Lei He, an accomplished AI leader and researcher who bridges academic excellence with real-world innovation.
Dr. He specializes in Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence, holding a Ph.D. from Concordia University in Canada, where she studied under Dr. Ching Y. Suen, recipient of the IAPR King-Sun Fu Award, the highest honor in the field of pattern recognition. She is also a recipient of the NSERC Doctoral Scholarship and was recognized in 2021 as one of the “Top 50 Under 50 – The AI Experts.”
In 2026, Dr. He will serve as the Social Program Chair for ICPRAI 2026 (The 5th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence), further advancing academic and industrial collaboration in AI and pattern recognition.
With over 15 years of experience in the financial and insurance sectors, Dr. He has led AI and data science teams at Manulife, Canada Life, and BMO, delivering multiple projects with multi-million-dollar business impact.
Beyond her corporate success, Dr. He is deeply committed to AI education and youth empowerment. She has guided students to achieve outstanding results in the FDA's global AI competition (V-Champs) and helped them secure internship and employment opportunities across North America.
As the regional lead (in discussion) for Technovation Girls Ontario–Halton and a Technovation global judge, Dr. He continues to inspire the next generation — especially young girls — to explore technology and use AI for social good.
